You don’t really need strong products to calm down your over-productive oil glands. The key is in finding the right products that will work for your skin type. One good example is organic castor oil. It has anti-viral, antiseptic and antibacterial properties which can help prevent acne. It can also boost your skin’s collagen production to keep your skin firm and supple. Another great oil is jojoba oil. It has a molecular structure that’s similar to your skin’s natural sebum. Applying it can trick your skin into stopping its excess oil production. Geranium essential oil is a must-try for oily skin, too. It can tighten the skin, improve blood circulation and heal any existing acne you might have. You can use these oils in combination with your other anti-acne products. You can apply them topically or you can mix them with your creams and lotions. No matter what you do to them, be sure to do some testing first, especially if you have oily, but sensitive skin.
